James D. Kirkpatrick

Most Illustrious James Dale Kirkpatrick was born in Landstuhl, Germany. His mother, Elizabeth, escaped persecution in Nazi Germany. Her Father was Jewish and did not survive. She married James” father James Dean Kirkpatrick. Most Illustrious Kirkpatrick grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana and graduated from the great Parkway High School in the same town. He is married to the beautiful Donna Leonard Kirkpatrick. They have no children. He has a sister, Susan Pogue and a niece, Nancy Hill Primm. Most Illustrious Kirkpatrick earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1986. He has worked professionally since 1981 in the field of information technology, and, also as a baseball/softball umpire. He is currently employed at Healthaxis, a wonderful company.

His father-in-law (Donna”s daddy, Donald R. Leonard) brought masonry to James and was present when he was initiated and raised in Arlington Masonic Lodge 438, where he is a Past Master and Golden Trowel Recipient. Don Leonard was present at James” installation as Worshipful Master. Donald R. Leonard has since passed away but his lovely bride Clarice is a proud resident of the Texas Masonic Retirement Center owned and operated by the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas. James is proud that the Grand Council”s charity is the TMRC.

Most Illustrious served the Grand Lodge as District Deputy Grand Master of District 64-D in 2006. He is a Past High Priest, Past Thrice Illustrious Master and Past Commander of Arlington Chapter, Council and Commandery. He was awarded the Cryptic Triangle Award by Arlington Council 314. He received the Order of High Priesthood and the Order of the Silver Trowel. He also received the Super Excellent Master”s Degree and has worked in several of those degrees.

James has served as District Deputy in both Grand Chapter and Grand Council, and served as Grand Principal Sojourner for Most Excellent Reese L. Harrison, Jr. He served as Grand Captain of the Guards for Most Illustrious Richard Sharp. He served as Grand Marshal for Most Illustrious Terry Flippo. He served as Grand Principal Conductor of the Work for Most Illustrious Jeff Miller and served as Deputy Grand Master for Most Illustrious Reese L. Harrison, Jr.

Most Illustrious Kirkpatrick is a member of the Knight York Cross of Honour. He is a past governor of Trinity York Rite College 154. He is also an Associate Regent (Order of the Purple Cross). He also has the privilege of serving the Grand Body of St Thomas of Acon USA as Deputy Grand Secretary. He served as the charter Worthy Master of Thomas Becket Chapel XXXI which meets in Arlington Lodge.

He was coroneted 33 degree Inspector General Honorary Scottish Rite, served as Venerable Master of the Fort Worth Lodge of Perfection and also Venerable Master of the Knights of St. Andrew Order of the Thistle.

He is a member of the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests.

He is a member of the Royal Order of Scotland.

He is a member of the Allied Masonic Degrees and is a past Sovereign Master and past President of the Texas Allied Masonic Degrees Association.

He is an active member of the Knight Masons.

He is an active member and officer of the Operatives.

He is an active member of the Moslah Shrine.

He is a Past Patron (twice) of Arlington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
