Was born in Petersburg, Virginia, on June 22, 1906. Educated in the Public Schools of Virginia, attended William and Mary College and is a graduate of White Business College. He and his wife, Vera, now reside in Fort Worth, Texas. He was an Accountant. Since December, 1945, he has been Recorder of Moslah Shrine Temple, Fort Worth.

He is an Elder in University Christian Church.

Served in the United States Army from May 5, 1941 to October 6, 1945.

Raised a Master Mason in Franklin Lodge No. 107, A.F. & A.M., Franklin, Indiana. He is now a member of Julian Field Lodge No. 908, Fort Worth, Texas.

Exalted a Royal Arch Mason in Tarrant Chapter No. 416, Fort Worth, on October 17, 1945. Affiliated with Texas Chapter No. 362, Fort Worth, in 1946, and served as High Priest in 1950. Is a Life Member of Texas Chapter. Is a member of the Order of High Priesthood.

Greeted a Royal and Select Master in Tarrant Council No. 349, on November 14, 1945. Affiliated with Texas Council No. 321, Fort Worth, in 1946, and served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 1950. He is a Life Member of Texas Council. Is a member of the Order of Silver Trowel. Was Elected and Installed as Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas on December 4, 1973, and served during 1974.

Knighted a member of Worth Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar, Fort Worth.

Is a member of the Red Cross of Constantine.

A Life Member of Tarrant Chapter No. 8, Order of the Eastern Star, and a Past Patron.
