Raised a Master Mason in Memphis Lodge No. 729, A. F. & A. M., on January 6, 1933. Was Worshipful Master in 1936-37, and in 1937-38. Was Secretary from 1940 to 1948. District Deputy Grand Master, 1944.

Exalted a Royal Arch Mason in Memphis Chapter No. 220, R. A. M., on June 23, 1938. Was Secretary from 1940 to 1945. Was High Priest in 1948-49. District Deputy Grand High Priest, 1950. Grand Royal Arch Captain, 1958. Has received the Order of High Priesthood. Grand Representative of the Grand Chapter of Manitoba, near the Grand Chapter of Texas.

Greeted a Select Master in Memphis Council No. 156, R. & S. M., on October 17, 1938. Was Recorder from 1940 to 1945. Thrice Illustrious Master, 1948-49. Grand Visitor, 1952 and 1958. Grand Captain of the Guards, 1957. Has received the Order of the Silber Trowel. Grand Representative of the Grand Council of Montana, near the Grand Council of Texas. Was elected Illustrious Grand Principal Conductor of Work in 1958, and after advancing through the usual stations, was elected and installed Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Master of Texas on December 6, 1960, and presided at the Annual Assembly in 1961.

Dubbed and Created a Knight Templar in Memphis Commandery No. 50, K. T., on October 17, 1939. Was Recorder from 1940 to 1943 and in 1947-48. Was Eminent Commander in 1945.

Member of Ascension Tabernacle No. 20, H. R. A. K. T. P., at Amarillo, Texas. Was Preceptor in 1958.

Member of Llano Estacado Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine
