Ronnie Wayne Wilson was born February 11, 1973. He has a twin brother Donnie and a younger sister Trisha. Ronnie graduated from Lufkin High School in 1991 where he was a member of several clubs and organizations. He has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Criminal Justice, Business and Forestry. After graduating college, Ronnie began his professional career in the Forest Products business working for a prominent company in that field. Over the course of 25 years, he has held numerous titles including Inventory Manager, Purchasing Agent and Area Purchasing Manager. Ronnie’s current title is Group Manager Purchasing and Stores for the Plywood/Lumber Division. He oversees procurement activities at 30 plus wood products mills. Ronnie’s greatest accomplishment is his daughter Emma who graduated from college in 2020 with a Bachelor degree in Social Work.
Ronnie is very active in his local community and has served on numerous boards including Friends of Ellen Trout Zoo and the Diboll Booster Club. Additionally, he has served on committee assignments with the local Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, and the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. Ronnie is also a member of the local chapter of the Lion’s Club and actively participates in the area rodeo.
He began his Masonic journey in 2001 at Burke Masonic Lodge No. 833 where he served as a Past Master. He received the Golden Trowel from Burke Lodge in 2012. He also has dual membership with Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 and served as District Deputy Grand Master in 2018.
Ronnie joined the York Rite in 2002 in Lufkin. He served as High Priest of Lufkin Chapter No. 240 and Thrice illustrious Master of Lufkin Council No. 176. He had the privilege to serve as DDGHP of the Grand Chapter R.A.M and DDGM of the Grand Council R.S.M. in 2012, 2016 and 2019. Ronnie is a member of both Pineywoods Commandery No. 88 (Past Commander/Endowed) and Melrose Commandery No. 109 (Endowed). He is currently the Recorder at Pinewoods No. 88 and has served in the role for the past 19 years. York Rite honors include Knight Preceptor, Order of the Silver Trowel and Order of High Priesthood in 2010. He received the Knight Crusader of the Cross at the Louisiana Grand Conclave in 2015. Ronnie joined the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas line in 2012 and will be serving as Grand Commander from 2021-2022.
Other fraternal bodies that Ronnie is a member include the Houston Scottish Rite (2001/KCCH), Sharon Shrine (2002), Ascension Conclave Knights of Red Cross of Constantine (2011/Past Puissant Sovereign), East Texas York Rite College No. 140 (2011/Past Governor/Associate Regent and recipient of the Order of the Purple Cross), Texas Priory K.Y.C.H. (2011), Royal Order of Scotland (2014/Life Member), Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests Resurrection Tabernacle No. XXI (2015), Star Chamber/Council AMD (2016) and General Sam Houston Chapel of the Commemorative Order of St. Thomas of Acon (2019).
Ronnie is of the Baptist faith and worships at Trinity Baptist Church in Lufkin Texas.
