He was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on July 25, 1960 in East Gate Lodge No. 543, Tulsa, Oklahoma. In October, 1979, he affiliated with Plano Lodge No. 768. He served as Worshipful Master in 1989-90. He served ad District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 9B in 1998. He is currently serving as the Secretary of Plano Lodge.
Exalted a Royal Arch Mason in Haggai Chapter No. 53 in May 14, 1988. Served as High Priest in 1994-95. Received Order of High Priesthood in 1994. Served as District Deputy Grand High Priest in Capitular District 26 in 2000.
Greeted a Select Master in Haggai Council No. 38 in May 14, 1988. Served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 1995-96 and received the Order of the Silver Trowel in 1995. He served as the Thrice Illustrious Master of the Silver Trowel of Texas in 2006. He served as the District Deputy Grand Master of Cryptic District 26 in 2001. He served, the Grand Council of Texas, as a member and Treasurer of the York Rite Development Fund.
Knighted in McKinney Commandery No. 34 on May 21, 1988. Served as commander in 1993. Excellent Prelate from 1994 to present. Joined the Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor in 1996. Affiliated with Alexander C. Garrett Commandery No. 103 in 2008. He is an honorary member of Dallas No. 6 by virtue of being a member of the Dallas Drill team since 1994. In April, 2003, Sir Knight H. David Moore was elected Grand Sentinel of the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas in Midland, Texas. He has progressed through the line and currently serves as Deputy Grand Commander.
He is a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite Valley and was invested a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 2007. He served for many years on the 6th Degree team.
