Notice Regarding Recent Cyber Attacks

Sir Knights,

We have detected a large-scale phishing attack from someone posing as the Right Eminent Grand Commander. Phishing is when someone tricks you into revealing sensitive information, such as passwords or credit card details.

An example of phishing might be: you receive an email from a friend who needs urgent help buying gift cards. The email includes a link to a website where you can buy the gift cards. However, this link is a fake, and if you enter your information, the attacker will steal it.

To avoid phishing, here are some simple tips:

  • Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication on all accounts.
  • Don’t click on suspicious links or download attachments from unknown sources.
  • Keep your software and operating systems up to date.
  • Be aware of common phishing tactics, like urgent requests for gift card purchases.

By following these tips, you can protect yourself and the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas from phishing attacks.

In His Service,

Gabriel Jagush
