Was born at Bartlett, Bell County, Texas, on May 28, 1904. Was educated in the Fort Worth Public Schools and a Business College. He was married on November 28, 1928, to Miss Wortha Francisco. They had two children: a son, James Wallace, a student at Texas A & M College; and a daughter, Mary Ann.
On April 1, 1959, he suffered a coronary thrombosis and passed away. Funeral services were held on April 3 at the Matthews Memorial Methodist Church, where he served as a Steward and a Sunday School teacher for many years.
He was Secretary-Recorder of Hemphill Heights Lodge No. 1164, A.F.&A.M.; Hemphill Heights Chapter No. 448, R.A.M.; Hemphill Heights Council No. 365, R.&S.M.; and Southside Commandery No. 83, K.T. he was a past presiding officer of each of these Bodies, and a member of Texas Priory No. 23, K.Y.C.H.
He was elected Grand Scribe of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas in 1955, and after advancing through the usual stations, he was elected and installed Gran High Priest on December 2, 1958. He was Grand Representative of the Grand Chapter of the Republic of the Philippines near the Grand Chapter of Texas. He had received the Order of High Priesthood.
He was a member of St. Timothy Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine.
He was Grand Representative of the Grand Council of Maryland near the Grand Council of Texas. He had received the Order of the Silver Trowel.
He was a 32nd Degree K.C.C.H. Scottish Rite Mason, member of the Dallas Bodies. He was Treasurer of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Association. Member of Moslah Shrine Temple, Fort Worth.
He was a Past Patron of Fort Worth Chapter No. 681, O.E.S. Had served on Jurisprudence Committee and at the time of his death was serving on the Grand Chapter Expense Committee.
