Allen James O'Brien

Was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 19, 1906. Was educated in the Public Schools of Wisconsin and Walderly Academy, Superior, Wisconsin. Moved to Texas in 1926 and to Borger, Texas, in 1934. Was employed in maintenance department of the Panhandle Power and Light Company. He is now assistant Plant Manager of the Southwestern Public Service Company, Amarillo, Texas.

He is a member of the Baptist Church.

Was Raised in Hancock Lodge No. 229, A.F.&A.M., Ellsworth, Wisconsin, on May 29, 1934. Affiliated with Mobeetie Lodge No. 972, A.F.&A.M., Mobeetie, Texas. Was Worshipful Master in 1942-43.

Exalted in Borger Chapter No. 437, R.A.M., Borger, Texas, on October 23, 1943. Was High Priest in 1947-48. Was District Deputy Grand High Priest of the 42nd District in 1949. Was elected Grand Scribe in 1953 and after advancing through the usual offices he served as Most Excellent Grand High Priest in 1956-57. Grand Representative of the Grand Chapter of Quebec near the Grand Chapter of Texas. Member of the Order of High Priesthood.

Greeted in Borger Council No. 354, R.&S.M., on November 15, 1943. Was Thrice Illustrious Master in 1946-47. Grand Representative of the Grand Council of Wisconsin near the Grand Council of Texas. Member of the Order of the Silver Trowel.

Dubbed and created in Borger Commandery No. 96, K.T., August 24, 1944. Was Eminent Commander in 1947.

He is a member of Texas Priory No. 23, K.Y.C.H.

He was ordained a Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest in Ascension Tabernacle No. 20, Amarillo, in 1950. Served as Preceptor in 1954.

Member of Llano Estacado Conclave No. 96, Red Cross of Constantine.

32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Dallas Bodies.
